Corvis® STL

The Oculus Corvis® STL is a non-contact tonometer and pachymeter that assesses corneal biomechanics.1 It uses a high-speed Scheimpflug camera to capture the eye's reaction to an air pulse.2 This allows for a more accurate measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP) that is less influenced by corneal thickness.3 The device is primarily used for early detection of corneal ectatic diseases like keratoconus and for glaucoma screening.4
The revolutionary Corvis® STL records the reaction of the cornea to a defined air pulse with a newly developed high-speed Scheimpflug-camera that takes over 4,300 images per second. IOP and corneal thickness can be measured with great precision on the basis of the Scheimpflug images.
